dc.description.abstractA contemporaneidade estĆ” totalmente intrĆ­nseca no prĆ³prio arquiteto, assim como simultĆ¢neamente prezar o construĆ­do pelos antepassados, permitindo a convivĆŖncia entre as realidades arquitetĆ³nicas. Esta condiĆ§Ć£o torna a tarefa de arquitetar num desafio mais rigoroso e sensĆ­vel, em que interesses e princĆ­pios atuais se interligam com a identidade e memĆ³ria de um lugar. Neste trabalho, a proposta visa reabilitar o edifĆ­cio do antigo Recolhimento de SĆ£o CristĆ³vĆ£o, inserido no bairro da Mouraria, cuja construĆ§Ć£o original remonta Ć  Ć©poca medieval, durante o perĆ­odo islĆ¢mico. Pretende-se criar uma intervenĆ§Ć£o, coerente com a identidade e a memĆ³ria das preexistĆŖncias, mantendo o uso habitacional. Percebe-se que a habitaĆ§Ć£o de antigamente, tinha um sentido para a sociedade. Atualmente esse mesmo espaƧo surge com uma filosofia para a sociedade vigente. Sendo assim, introduzindo uma nova tendĆŖncia que surge nas grandes cidades. Criou-se um espaƧo de Co-working, nas Ć”reas compartilhadas do edifĆ­cio residĆŖncial, onde o morador pode exercer a sua profissĆ£o, sendo liberal ou empresarial.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: Contemporary architecture is dependent on the individualistic nature of each architec. Equally important is to take into account the architectural value inherited by previous generations. This will allow authenticity between the two realities, which turns the arquitectural task into a more rigorous and sensitive challenge, where current interests and principles link the identity and memory of a place. In this project, the proposal aims to rehabilitate the building of the former St. Christopher's Recollection, located in Mouraria neighbordood, whose original construction dates back to medieval times during the Islamic period. The goal is to create a consistent intervention with the identity and memory of the pre-existing building while maintaining the use of the house. It can be seen that habitation in the old days had a great meaning for society. Nowadays, this same space comes up with a new philosophy for current society. A new trend is emerging and being introduced in major cities. As such, a co-working space was created, in the shared areas of the residential building where residents can practise their profession, whether liberal or entrepreneurial.pt_PT
