A comunicação escola-docentes : o papel das tecnologias móveis

A utilização generalizada do telemóvel veio alterar a forma como as pessoas vivem na
sociedade atual. Aproveitando as suas capacidades, é proposto usá-lo como um novo canal
de difusão da informação no agrupamento de escolas da região de em Benavente. Este
trabalho de projeto tem como objeto de estudo a comunicação entre a escola e os docentes,
utilizando as tecnologias móveis, nomeadamente através do serviço de mensagens escritas.
Procurou-se desta forma identificar previamente necessidades especificas do contexto
através de uma entrevista à direção escolar, analisando igualmente a pertinência e
implementar procedimentos para desenvolver e pôr em prática o projeto. Para avaliação do
mesmo alicerçou-se numa de aplicação de uma metodologia quantitativa de recolha de
dados, através de um questionário distribuído aos docentes e de uma entrevista final
novamente realizada à direção escolar. Os resultados encontrados indiciam um impacto
favorável do projeto nas práticas de difusão de informação no contexto escolar. Este
projeto apresenta ainda conclusões mais relevantes, bem como as dificuldades e limitações
do estudo e os contributos e sugestões para futuras investigações na área.
The widespread use of the mobile phone has changed people’s lifestyle today. If we make use of its potentialities, we could use it as new channel of communication to spread information in a group of schools in the council of Benavente . This project aims at studying the patterns of communication between the school – head teacher and its staff - and its teachers by using the new mobile technologies, namely through text messaging. We tried first to identify the specific characteristics of the context by conducting an interview to the head teacher and his staff as well as conducting an analysis to ascertain the relevance of the implementation of the procedures to carry out the project. The evaluation of the project was based on a survey to the teachers and a final interview to the head teacher and his staff. The results show that the project impacted positively on the dissemination patterns of information in the school context. This project presents more relevant findings, the constraints and shortcomings of the study as well as suggestions for future research in this field of study.
