Abstract(s)
A presente investigação tem como objetivo geral o tratamento do arquivo pessoal do Almirante Jerónimo Henriques Jorge, doado pela sua filha e genro à Biblioteca Central de Marinha - Arquivo Histórico. Para a realização deste estudo foram estabelecidos alguns objetivos específicos, tais como: compreender os conceitos de arquivo pessoal, compreender a organização de um arquivo pessoal, elaborar o inventário do fundo, preparar um Plano de classificação, organizar e representar a documentação do fundo e proceder ao seu armazenamento. Como metodologia, para esta investigação focamo-nos na abordagem qualitativa, e ancoramo-nos no método de pesquisa e análise documental. Em termos de resultados, foi elaborado um plano de classificação, foi descrita e informatizada a documentação e elaborado um inventário. Deste modo pretendemos mostrar a importância dos arquivos pessoais e as informações que neles podemos recolher, e mais concretamente o Arquivo Pessoal Almirante Jerónimo Henriques Jorge.
The present research has as its general objective the treatment of the personal archives of Admiral Jerónimo Henriques Jorge, donated by his daughter and son-in-law to the Biblioteca Central de Marinha - Historical Archive. To carry out this study, some specific objectives were included, such as: to understand the concepts of personal archives, to understand the organization of personal archives, to elaborate the fund's inventory, to prepare a Classification Plan for classification, to organize and represent of the documentation of the fund, and to proceed to its storage. As methodology, for this research, we focus on a qualitative approach, and we anchor ourselves in the methods of documentary analysis and biographical study. In terms of results, a classification plan was created, documentation was described and computerized, and an inventory was drawn up. In this way we intend to show the importance of people's files and the information that can be collected, and more specifically the Personal Archives Almirante Jerónimo Henriques Jorge.
