Nesta investigação, realizada no quadro do Mestrado em Educação e Formação, tendo
como especialidade Desenvolvimento Social e Cultural, buscamos apresentar um
contributo quanto ao estudo das relações de género, mais especificamente a equidade de
género no namoro. Para tal, tivemos como pontos balizadores as seguintes questões ao
tentar apreender a perceção de jovens estudantes universitários sobre a equidade de
género no namoro: 1) Qual a perceção dos estudantes do ensino superior sobre a
equidade de género no namoro?; 2) A perceção dos estudantes do ensino superior sobre
a equidade de género, no namoro, difere entre rapazes e raparigas? 3) Qual a perceção
dos estudantes do ensino superior sobre direitos e deveres vivenciados pelo casal? 4)
Qual a perceção dos estudantes do ensino superior sobre as relações de poder
vivenciadas pelo casal? 5) No namoro, como são vividas e resolvidas as situações de
conflitos e/ou de violência? Para tal, contámos com a participação voluntária de sete
estudantes do Instituto de Educação e Faculdade de Psicologia da Universidade de
Lisboa. Com a análise de dados conseguimos um melhor entendimento da questão e a
constatação de que os estudantes entrevistados têm a perceção de que homens e
mulheres devem ter direitos iguais, sendo que tal perceção não diferiu entre os géneros
feminino e masculino. Os direitos principais revelados pelos jovens foram: privacidade,
respeito, diálogo, lealdade e liberdade. Quanto às relações de poder, também concordam
quanto a equidade entre os pares.
In this research, carried out at the core of master in Education and Training, focusing on Social and Cultural development, we sought to contribute to the study of gender relations, more specifically gender equity. Understand young college students’ perceptions of gender equity in dating. 1)What is the perception of higher education students about gender equity in dating? 2) Does the perception of higher educations students about gender equity in dating differ between boys and girls? 3)What is the perception of higher education students about rights and duties experienced by the couple? 4) What is the perception of higher education students about the power relations experienced by the couple? In dating, how are conflict and/or violence situations experienced and resolved? To this end, we have the voluntary participation of seven students from the Institute of Education and Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon. With data analysis we got a better understanding of the issue and the finding that students have the perception that men and women should have equal rights, such perception did not differ between female and male, the main rights revealed by young people were, privacy, respect, dialogue, loyalty and freedom. As for power relations, they also agree on equity between peers.
