Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação pretende tratar-se de uma introdução/contributo para a compreensão da organização médica no Ultramar, durante a Guerra Colonial Portuguesa (1961-1974). O tema escolhido é um campo de investigação pouco desenvolvido, com uma bibliografia reduzida, dificultando assim a sua realização.
No campo militar, trata sobretudo normas e regras, que incluem não só tratamento como também organização, evacuação, e outros aspectos adjacentes. Para isso foram utilizadas fontes do Arquivo Histórico Militar Português, do Arquivo Histórico da Marinha, ambos situados em Lisboa.
Além disto serão ainda abordados dois tópicos de caracter especial: o Serviço de Saúde de Neuropsiquiatria e o emprego de Enfermeiras Pára-quedistas.
O estudo dos Serviços Civis recaí sobretudo na sua organização e modo de funcionamento. Foram utilizadas informações presentes no Boletim Geral das Colónias e no Diário da República Portuguesa.
The current dissertation intends to be an introduction/contribute to the understanding of the Medical Organization in Ultramar, during the Portuguese Colonial war (1961-1974). The chosen subject is currently understudied and with low bibliography, making it difficult to find information. In the Military field the present work it’s mostly rules and regulations that include, not only the treatment, but also organization, evacuation and other adjacent aspects. For this were used sources found in the Arquivo Histórico Militar Português, in Lisbon. There will also be a special approach to two important topics: The Mental Health System and the use of Female Paratroopers. For the civilian Health Services the same happened. To conquer the problem of sources it was mostly used the information in the Boletim Geral das Colónias and the Portuguese Diário da República.
