Intentar existir nasce da tentativa de imaginar um futuro ideal. O presente ensaio serve de pretexto para a investigação e análise de um pensamento imaginário que vá ao encontro das necessidades de um futuro que se avizinha. Esse, um futuro incerto. O exercício reflete as inquietações vividas no presente pela busca de uma resposta através do pensamento utópico, pela procura de mudança, de novos conceitos, novos lugares, novas formas de pensar a arquitetura. Vai ser necessário explorar a sua relação com o sonho, em que o limite físico é ultrapassado; com o efémero, que vive intensamente cada momento da sua brevidade; e com a arquitetura modular, que dança em harmonia com as necessidades de quem a habita e se adapta à mudança da vida. A cidade, organismo vivo, que vive do ritmo frenético do tempo, chega até aos dias de hoje com várias problemáticas que vão influenciar a nossa permanência no planeta Terra. Precisamos, assim, equacionar todas estas premissas para obter uma solução. A água vai servir de mote para esta problemática, tornando-se a linha guia do projeto, com o rio Danúbio como elemento de conexão, de transformação e de inspiração para o módulo. Este módulo vai nascer, então, da necessidade de criar um futuro, um imaginário voltado para o real, em que Budapeste é protagonista, ainda que qualquer parte do mundo o possa ser.
Trying to exist arises from the attempt to imagine an ideal future. This essay serves as a pretense for the investigation and analysis of an imaginary thought that meets the needs of an imminent future. This future is uncertain. The exercise reflects the struggles experienced in the present, facing the search for an answer through an utopian thinking, searching for change, new concepts, new places, new ways of thinking about architecture. It will be necessary to explore its relationship with the dream, that is the surpassed physical limit; with ephemerality, that lives intensely each moment of its brevity; and with modular architecture, that dances in harmony with the needs of those who inhabit it and adapt to the changes of life. The city, a living organism, which lives from the frenetic rhythm of time, faces various issues that will impact our presence on planet Earth. Thus, it is necessary to consider all these premises to find a solution. Water will serve as the motto for this problem, becoming the guiding line of the project, with the Danube river being an element of connection, transformation, and inspiration for the module. This module will then be born from the need to create a future, an imaginary facing reality, in which Budapest is the protagonist, but any other part of the world could be.
