A frente ribeirinha de Lisboa em tempos foi um foco de comércio, um espaço de convívio, de lazer e até balnear, mais tarde veio se tornar numa zona portuária e industrial até aos dias de hoje.
Após a revolução industrial, foram construídas linhas ferroviárias para transporte de pessoas e escoamento de mercadoria diretamente dos portos, criando uma barreira entre a cidade e o rio Tejo.
Com o tempo a frente ribeirinha foi ficando mais inabitável, pouco aproveitada e insegura até recentemente, com a reorganização das atividades portuárias, a cidade pôde crescer e devolver o rio aos lisboetas.
O presente trabalho procura dar resposta à hipotética deslocação do porto de Lisboa, despertar a curiosidade do potencial da zona e consciencializar dos benefícios que trariam para a cidade.
O programa proposto baseia-se em estudos e propostas da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa para suprimir a linha ferroviária (Cais do Sodré – Cascais) com a expansão do metro, na reutilização da pré-existência para novos usos e criação de novos espaços verdes e desportivos.
É com base no existencial que nasce a proposta urbana, de forma a reconectar a cidade com o rio, no desenho urbano divide-se o vazio e é nesses vazios que nasce a proposta arquitetónica.
Os temas arquitetónicos abordados ao longo da proposta é a sustentabilidade e a habitação contemporânea pós-pandemia, como viver o espaço interno e externo de forma mais versátil.
The riverside of Lisbon was once a focus of commerce, a space for socializing, leisure and even bathing, later becoming a port and industrial area to this day. After the industrial revolution, railway lines were built to transport people and transport goods directly from the ports, creating a barrier between the city and the Tejo River. Over time, the riverfront became more uninhabitable, little used and insecure until recently, with the reorganization of port activities, the city was able to grow and give back the river to the people of Lisbon. The present work seeks to respond to the hypothetical displacement of the port of Lisbon, awakening curiosity about the potential of the area and raising awareness of the benefits it would bring to the city. The proposed program is based on studies and proposals from the Lisbon City Council to suppress the railway line (Cais do Sodré – Cascais) with the expansion of the metro, the reuse of pre-existing areas for new uses and the creation of new green and sports spaces. It is based on the existential that the urban proposal is born, in order to reconnect the city with the river, in the urban design the void is divided, and it is in these voids that the architectural proposal is born. The architectural themes addressed throughout the proposal are sustainability and post-pandemic contemporary housing, how to live the internal and external space in a more versatile way.
