As pesquisas sobre a juventude tĂȘm ganho destaque nos Ășltimos anos e contribuĂram
para a identificação e compreensão dos desafios que esse grupo de população enfrenta mediante
os conflitos advindos das desigualdades sociais e da falta de oportunidades. No entanto, tais
estudos revelam que a juventude mostra-se mais consciente sobre os seus direitos, deveres,
respeito à diversidade cultural e ao género. A presente investigação centrou-se na anålise do
contributo das experiĂȘncias realizadas nos lugares de afeto, em dinĂąmicas associativas, na
formação, na identidade e no poder agir de jovens. Pensando nas conexÔes que se formam
nestes projetos e como esses espaços se tornam palco de experiĂȘncias e saberes, pretende-se
compreender como essas experiĂȘncias e o seu entendimento podem favorecer o processo
formativo dos jovens. Para a concretização deste objetivo realizou-se uma investigação
biogrĂĄfica com jovens, enquadrada, do ponto de vista teĂłrico, no domĂnio das CiĂȘncias da
Educação. A investigação foi desenvolvida a partir da anålise de oito entrevistas biogråficas
com jovens residentes no bairro Cova da Moura, que participam das açÔes desenvolvidas pela
Associação Cultural Moinho da Juventude â ACMJ, localizada no municĂpio de Amadora, na
Ărea Metropolitana da Grande Lisboa. A investigação permitiu compreender a importĂąncia da
participação dos jovens em projetos sociais e culturais, num contexto associativo,
nomeadamente, as experiĂȘncias e aprendizagens geradas a partir desses projetos e o seu
contributo no processo formativo dos jovens envolvidos. Muitos destes jovens aprendem novas
habilidades, uma profissão, criam laços afetivos e redes crescentes que, por sua vez, auxiliam
outros jovens no seu processo formativo.
Researches about youth have become more important in the last years and have contributed to the identification and understanding of the challenges that this group of population faces because of the conflicts from social inequality and because of the lack of opportunities. However, such studies reveal that youth is more aware of his rights, duties, the respect to cultural diversity and gender. The presente study focused on the analysis of the contribute of experiences carried out in places of affection, in associative dynamics, academic education, identity and in the power of the action of young people. Thinking about the connections created in these programs and how those spaces have become stages for experiences and knowledge development, it is intented to understand how these practices and their understanding may favor the formative process of youth. To achieve such goals, it was performed a biographical investigation with young people, enframed in the theoretical point of view of Educational Science. This investigation was developed from the analysis of eight biographical interviews with young residents of "Cova da Moura", who take part in the activities performed by "Associação Cultural Moinho da Juventude - ACMJ", located in Amadora, a place in the Metropolitan Area of Great Lisbon. This study allowed the understanding of the importance of youth participation in social and cultural projects, in an associative context, namely, in the experiences and learnings generated from these programs and their aid to the formative process of the young people involved. Many of these young boys and girls learn new skills and a job, create emotional bonds and growing networks, which are going to help other young people in their own formative process.
