O processo de conciliação ou equilíbrio de papéis, entre o trabalho e a vida familiar, bem como o stress, são das principais questões da sociedade, devido a um cenário de profundas transformações a nível organizacional e familiar.
Assim, no presente estudo procurou-se investigar se a justiça organizacional possui um efeito mediador na relação entre liderança transformacional e duas dimensões do stress organizacional (eustress e distress), assim como, na relação entre liderança transformacional e duas dimensões do equilíbrio trabalho-família (work-family enrichment e work-family conflict). Relativamente à análise dos dados, recorreu-se a duas abordagens complementares: análise fatorial confirmatória (AFC) e modelos de equações estruturais- structural equation modeling (SEM).
Em relação aos resultados alcançados, determinou-se a existência de uma relação direta estatisticamente significativa entre liderança transformacional, justiça organizacional, distress e work-family enrichment. Concluindo-se, igualmente, a existência de uma relação estatisticamente significativa entre justiça organizacional, eustress, distress, work-family enrichment e work-family conflict.
No que se refere às relações mediadas, encontraram-se associações entre liderança transformacional, distress e work-family enrichment, tal como, entre justiça organizacional, eustress, distress, work-family enrichment e work-family conflict. Contudo, a adição da justiça organizacional não reduziu o impacto da liderança transformacional no modelo, concluindo-se assim, que as relações de mediação foram parcialmente confirmadas.
Work-family balance as well as stress are among the main issues of our society due to a scenario of profound transformation at the organizational and family level. Thus, in this study we sought to investigate whether organizational justice has a mediating effect on the relationship between transformational leadership and two dimensions of organizational stress (eustress and distress), as well as on the relationship between transformational leadership and two dimensions of work-family balance (work-family enrichment and work-family conflict). Regarding the data analysis, two complementary approaches were used: confirmatory factorial analysis (AFC) and structural equations modelling (SEM). Regarding the results, we have identified the existence of a statistically significant direct association between transformational leadership, organizational justice, distress and work-family enrichment. We have equally concluded the existence of a statistically significant association between organizational justice, eustress, distress, work-family enrichment and work-family conflict. As for the mediated associations, we have found connections between transformational leadership, distress, and work-family enrichment, as well as between organizational justice, eustress, distress, work-family enrichment, and work-family conflict. However, the addition of organizational justice did not reduce the impact of transformational leadership on the model, thus concluding that mediation relations were partially confirmed.
