As crescentes exigências da vantagem competitiva organizacional observadas no panorama atual, impõem que as organizações tenham equipas preparadas para a mudança e para o desenvolvimento. Para tal, as organizações necessitam de uma liderança eficaz, com capacidade para adquirir uma boa base para o desenvolvimento do comprometimento dos colaboradores.
A presente investigação visa determinar em que medida os fatores dos estilos de Liderança Transformacional e Transacional, se relacionam com as componentes Afetiva, Normativa e Instrumental do Comprometimento Organizacional. O estudo aplica-se ao setor hoteleiro e através dos resultados obtidos, é possível verificar que as dimensões da Liderança Transformacional e Transacional estão associadas às três componentes do Comprometimento Organizacional. É ainda possível observar que a variável Carisma influencia tanto o Comprometimento Afetivo como Normativo dos colaboradores do setor hoteleiro.
The increasing demands of organizational competitive advantage observed in today's scenario requires organizations to have teams prepared for change and development. To achieve this, organizations need effective leadership, with the ability to build a good structure for the development of employee engagement with the organization. This research aims to determine the extent to which the factors of the Transformational Leadership and Transactional Leadership styles are related to the Affective, Normative and Continuance components of Organizational Commitment. The study is applied to the hotel sector and the results show that the dimensions of Transformational and Transformational Leadership are associated to the three components of Organizational Commitment. It is possible to observe that the variable Charisma explains both the Affective and Normative Commitment of the employees of the hotel sector.
