Resumo(s)
This dissertation comprises a series of studies on the characterisation of a set of figures in Homer’s Iliad. Focusing particularly on a number of conventional processes through which it operates, I take them as critical categories to examine the terms in which caracterisation’s main effect, individuation, is reached. The characters at the core of my discussion are Akhilleus, Andromakhē, Briseïs, Hektor, Helen, Paris and Patroklos. Each chapter functions as a commentary with a particular focus on questions which have emerged as particularly relevant to discuss their characterisation.
