dc.description.abstractA cidade é um lugar de referências históricas que marcam a evolução e progresso, no caso da Era Industrial. Este acontecimento impulsionou a expansão das grandes cidades, integrando na paisagem urbana elementos de edifícios industriais, pautados pelas grandes chaminés, gasómetros, usinas e acima de tudo pelas antigas fábricas, que em tempos representavam um espaço de novas oportunidades. Na Reabilitação do património Arquitetónico Industrial, procura-se perceber através de uma reflexão histórica e crítica, de que forma o processo de industrialização e o património industrial têm importância na cidade, e quais as estratégias e métodos que devem ser implantados numa proposta com características mais sustentáveis. Desta fora, pretende-se compreender à escala da cidade e à escala do edifício a relação sócio morfológica entre a Tinturaria Portugália e o Vale de Chelas, através dos exemplos tidos em conta nesta investigação. Assim, os conceitos utilizados serviram de ponto de partida para o redesenho urbano e para o desenho da Tinturaria, na medida em que, pretende-se reinserir o Vale de Chelas na Cidade de Lisboa, tendo como base o projeto proposto pelos NPK à Câmara Municipal de Lisboa. É ainda estudada a importância da resiliência para um edifício arquitetónico, respondendo não só as necessidades da população habitante como à necessidade de regeneração de uma das zonas mais desvalorizadas de Lisboa, Xabregas. Nesta proposta, pretende-se promover a dinamização da área de estudo e a Reabilitação da Antiga Tinturaria Portugália, tendo como componentes projetais a vertente social, ambiental e económica. Assim, propõe-se transformar a Tinturaria Portugália num Polo Cultural e Empresarial de modo a valorizar o conhecimento, a cultura, o comércio, a criação de novas empresas e acima de tudo a valorizar o património industrial, preservando a identidade do local e a memória do lugar.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: The city is a place of historical references which mark the evolution and progress, in this particular case, of the Industrial Age. This event has boosted the expansion of big cities, integrating to the urban landscape elements of industrial buildings, characterized by its big chimneys, gasometers, mills, and, most of all, the old factories which used to represent a space for new opportunities. In Rehabilitation of the Industrial Architectural Heritage, the aim is to understand, through critical and historical thinking, how the industrialization process and industrial heritage are relevant in the city, and which strategies and methods should be established in a tender with more sustainable features. Thus, it is intended to understand, at the city scale and at the building scale, the social and morphological relations between Tinturaria Portugália and the Chelas Valley through examples considered in this investigation. As such, the used concepts were the starting point for the urban redesign and the design for the Tinturaria as it is intended to reintroduce the Chelas Valley in Lisbon City, based on the project rendered by NPK to the Lisbon City Hall. It is also investigated the importance of the resilience for an architectural building, answering not only to the needs of the inhabitant population but also the need to regenerate one of the most underappreciated areas of Lisbon, Xabregas. In this tender, the intention is to promote the revitalization of the studied area and the Rehabilitation of the Old Tinturaria Portugália, having as project components the social, environmental and economical scopes. Thus, it is intended to transform Tinturaria Portugália in an Entrepreneurial and Cultural Complex as a way to value knowledge, culture, commerce, the creation of new companies, and, above all, to value industrial heritage, always keeping the local identity and promoting the memory of the place.pt_PT
