Com este trabalho estamos a realizar uma intervenção no Aterro da Boavista, em Lisboa, terreno que pertence ao município da cidade, situado no centro histórico, na zona ribeirinha.
Sendo uma área onde existe edificado denso, tornou-se importante pensar no impacto que o projeto tem para quem já lá vive, impacto esse que se pretende positivo, tanto para os residentes como para quem também usufrui do espaço.
O projeto consiste na construção de um novo edifício, de uso misto (comércio, serviços e habitação), na reabilitação de um edifício que já existia para um propósito novo, a “Lisbon Video Library”, que consiste numa sala de exposições, arquivo e biblioteca de diversas coleções de vídeos, e na promoção do tráfego pedestre com a abertura de uma nova ligação entre duas ruas e com a revitalização e dinamização do espaço público, dos espaços de circulação e de espaços de lazer.
Defendeu-se que, para se intervir de forma positiva na cidade consolidada se teve de estudar a relação entre os conceitos de reabilitação, de regeneração e de revitalização urbana. Ao longo do projecto, tanto os conceitos chave como as relações entre eles foram aprofundados, dando uso não só ao estudo teórico, mas também à análise de casos de referência selecionados pela autora.
O objectivo foi a obtenção de um design de projeto que considerasse os conceitos acima enunciados e que proporcionasse melhor qualidade de vida para os habitantes não só do novo edifício, mas também da envolvente.
With this work it is intended to design an intervention for the Aterro da Boavista, in Lisbon, a land which belongs to the city municipality of Lisbon, located in the historic centre, in the riverside area. It is an area with many buildings, so it is important to think about the impact that the project will have for those who already live there, an impact that is intended to be positive, both for residents and for those who also use the space. The project consists in the construction of a new mixed-use building (commerce, services, and housing), the rehabilitation of an existing building for a new purpose, the "Lisbon Video Library", which will consist of an exhibition room, archive and library of several video collections, and the promotion of pedestrian traffic with the opening of a new connection between two streets and the revitalization and dynamization of public space, circulation spaces and leisure spaces. The theme of this paper argues that in order to intervene positively in the consolidated city one must study the relationship between the concepts of rehabilitation, regeneration and urban revitalization. Throughout this work, the key terms, and the relationships between them will be deepened, making use not only of theoretical study, but also of the analysis of reference cases selected by the author. The aim of this work is to obtain a project design proposal that considers the concepts and that provides a better quality of life for the residents not only of the new building, but also of the surroundings.
