Resumo(s)
A ideia da criação da Ibéria surgiu no início da história, passando a ser esta uma das prioridades centrais dos povos que na Península se estabeleceram. Assim, é na análise destas tentativas, e com a ajuda da voz e palavras daqueles que as estudaram, que o conceito do Iberismo ganha forma, e nos oferece respostas sobre qual o papel e domínio real de cada um dos actores Ibéricos.
Estas janelas de conhecimento permitir-nos-ão identificar mais facilmente as diversas estratégias que Espanha, o já mítico “eterno inimigo”, poderia vir a aplicar para absorver o país luso, principalmente através do controlo da sua estrutura basilar: a economia. Assim, e perante um ataque espanhol, será importante ver até onde Portugal estaria preparado para fazer uso dos seus instrumentos de poder nacional, naquilo que seria considerado como uma contra-estratégia histórica pela defesa da sua soberania.
The idea to create “Iberia” arose in the beginning of times, becoming itself one of the main goals of the people living in the Peninsula. Thus, it’s with the analysis of these attempts, and with the help of the voice and words of those who studied them, that the concept of “Iberianism” takes shape, and gives us the answers about what is the role and real domain of each one of the “Iberic” actors. These “windows of knowledge” will allow us to easily identify the many strategies that Spain, the mythic “eternal enemy”, could end up applying in order to absorb its neighbor country, mainly through the control of its basic structure: the economy. So, and before a Spanish strike, is will be important to see how prepared would Portugal be to make use of its instruments of national power, in what would be considered as a historic counter-strategy for the defense of its dominion.
