Abstract(s)
Os canais de distribuição são um tema que assume presentemente grande
importĆ¢ncia na actividade bancĆ”ria. As transformaƧƵes ocorridas, quer ao nĆvel
tecnológico, quer do próprio mercado, resultaram no incremento da
concorrência, levando as instituições bancÔrias a actuarem de forma atenta sobre
a variÔvel do marketing mix - distribuição.
O presente trabalho aborda a evolução dos canais e sistemas de distribuição
bancĆ”rios em Portugal no perĆodo entre 1990 e 1997, respeitante aos principais
grupos bancƔrios na actualidade.
Pretende-se neste estudo identificar as relações entre as medidas de dimensão,
estrutura patrimonial, funcionamento e a rentabilidade, em termos da polĆtica de
distribuição adoptada, bem como identificar os grupos estratégicos existentes no
sector bancÔrio português.
Para tal, sĆ£o utilizadas as tĆ©cnicas estatĆsticas de regressĆ£o mĆŗltipla, anĆ”lise
cluster, anƔlise factorial e anƔlise MDS (Multidimensional Scaling).
Nowadays, in iife banking activity the distributiorfs channels are one of the most important event. Either in technological levei or in its own market, the transformations have occurred on increase of competition taking away the banking institutions to act attentively on the marketing mix distribution variable. This work approach's the systems distribution's evolution on banking channels in Portugal since 1990 to 1997, concerned the most important banking groups alive at the present moment. This study pretends not only identify the connection among dimension's measure, patrimonial structure, functionalism and rentability, taking account of the politicai distribution adopted, but also to identify the banking strategic groups alive at the Portuguese banking sector. During this work are used multiple regression, cluster analysis, factor analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis.
