Parques temáticos na Europa : uma abordagem temática para Foz Côa

O sector dos parques temáticos na Europa está em crescimento desde o início dos anos 70. Recentemente, dois parques principais foram construídos na península ibérica. O mercado ibérico está a passar uma fase similar aquela que ocorreu no mercado francês no final dos anos 80. O presente trabalho analisa o meio industrial europeu do sector, tendo em atenção os padrões de exploração praticados pelos operadores dominantes de parques temáticos e as direcções estratégicas por eles seguidas para vencer a concorrência. É elaborado um plano de negócio para a constituição de uma empresa gestora dum parque de animação, propondo a tematização do espaço em tomo do paleolítico, tirando partido da notoriedade das gravuras rupestres localizadas na área de Foz Côa.
The European theme park industry has an important potential to continue the strong growth trend that it has exhibited since the early 1970s. Recently two major theme parks have been established in the lberian peninsula. The lberian market is going through a similar phase to the one that had occurred in Franca in the late 1980s. This study analyses the European theme pari( industry, considering the operation patterns that are being followed by the theme park operators and their strategic trends to face competition. In order to create a company able to manage a visitor attractions a business plan has been drawn. These attractions are going to be thematized around paleolitic life highlighting the notorious rock art carvings located in Foz Coa.
