O presente artigo aborda a problemática das falhas de abastecimento de medicamentos, com especial enfoque nas suas causas, impactos e abordagens para prevenção e mitigação, bem como avalia as soluções legislativas em vigor em Portugal para lidar com este problema e as soluções vertidas nas recentes propostas de revisão da legislação farmacêutica da União Europeia.
