O trabalho remoto em Portugal : episódio circunstancial ou modelo do futuro?

| dc.description.abstract | O ano de 2020 ficou marcado pelo início da pandemia Covid-19. As necessidades emergentes do fenómeno reproduziram transformações por todo o mundo, com implicações diretas no mercado de trabalho. O trabalho remoto permitiu dar continuidade ao negócio de muitas organizações, tornando-se por isso numa resposta iminente. A presente investigação teve como objetivo analisar aquilo que foi a experiência de trabalho remoto durante a pandemia Covid-19, para as organizações e para as pessoas, de modo a compreender de que forma esta protagonizará impactos no futuro do trabalho. Seguindo uma metodologia quantitativa, exploratória - aplicada à dimensão organizacional e individual - e confirmatória descritiva - ao nível das pessoas, para identificar grupos de interesse -, foi realizado benchmark entre maio e junho de 2020, reunindo uma amostra de 102 organizações, e um questionário entre outubro e novembro de 2020, com um total de 1341 pessoas inquiridas. Os resultados sugerem uma reorganização às formas tradicionais de trabalho. O trabalho remoto abrangeu uma parte importante de ambas as amostras, tendo sido identificadas vantagens como o equilíbrio trabalho-família, maior eficiência de tempo a nível individual, e redução de custos a nível organizacional. Para muitas organizações, o trabalho remoto será parte do modelo de trabalho do futuro, um interesse partilhado pela maioria das pessoas, com destaque para as camadas mais jovens e os níveis profissionais mais qualificados. Mais do que desejar seguir com o trabalho remoto, há uma procura crescente pelo modelo híbrido, que combine o melhor dos dois mundos - presencial e remoto. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The year 2020 was marked by the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. The emerging needs of the phenomenon lead to transformations around the world, with repercussions in the labor market. Remote work allowed many organizations to continue operating, thus becoming an imminent response in face of the context. This study aimed to analyze the experience of remote work during the Covid-19 pandemic, for both organizations and people, to understand how it can impact the future of work. Following a quantitative, exploratory - applied to the organizational and individual dimensions - and descriptive confirmatory - at the level of people, to identify groups of interest – methodologies, a benchmark was conducted between May and June 2020, collecting a sample of 102 organizations, and a questionnaire, between October and November 2020, with 1341 responses. The results point to a reorganization of the traditional forms of work. Most organizations and people experienced remote work, identifying advantages such as work-family balance, time efficiency at the individual level, and cost reduction at the organizational level. For many organizations, remote work will be a reality in the future; and this is a shared interest by most people, especially young people and professionals with a high-level jobs. Far from continuing to work remotely, Portuguese individuals aim for an hybrid work model that combines the best of both worlds – office and remote. | pt_PT |
