As retenções sucessivas, o comportamento disruptivo, o absentismo e a desistência acabam por constituir lugares comuns no percurso educativo destes jovens.
Despite countless efforts made by educational policy in recent years, mainly through the promotion of programs aimed on educational success, Portugal continues to have one of the highest dropout and retention rates in Europe. However, and regardless of these policies, there is always a fringe of students who, due to various constraints, are unable to succeed. Successive retention, disruptive behavior, absenteeism and withdrawal become commonplace in the education of these learners. In discordance with their schools, unable to succeed and progress, they end up leaving the education system with low functional, personal and academic Skills and often without any kind of certification or prospects. Considering the pedagogical potential of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), there are several pedagogical models of teaching and learning that promote the development of innovative and inclusive educational scenarios using technology. In an attempt to meet the reality of Portuguese schools and the need to implement alternative learning paths, we present a study on the potential of ICT in creating an inclusive model aimed on reversing educational underachievement among students who are not in accordance with their schools and teachers and at risk of becoming dropouts.
