Resumo(s)
This article is a result of a meeting and interview with Guga Szabon, an emerging artist from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Firstly, the article introduces Szabon’s career as both an artist and an educator. Secondly, the article focuses on her artistic production displayed in her project ‘Mapas’ (Maps) by producing an analysis of both the themes and concepts displayed within her work in the project. Finally, the article analyses both the form and technicality of a second series created by Szabzon, entitled Mapas Bordados, Mapas em Tecido y Mapas Costurados (Embroidered Maps, Maps on Fabric and Sewing Maps)
