Realizou-se um projeto de implementação de produto novo em contexto real numa empresa de segurança privada, aplicando um modelo de
desenvolvimento de produto novo adaptado da investigação de Booz, Allen & Hamilton. O objetivo foi o de efetuar a aplicação de um modelo teórico e analisar os seus benefícios e limitações no terreno no contexto de uma empresa que opera na área dos sistemas eletrónicos de segurança com serviço de
ligação a uma central recetora de alarmes. O estudo realizou-se na modalidade de projeto e acompanhou todo o processo desde “Geração de ideias” à “Comercialização” do novo produto: uma nova central de alarme de intrusão e um novo modelo de comercialização. O trabalho foi realizado tendo por base a investigação bibliográfica para enquadramento do tema e desenvolvimento do modelo conceptual sobre o qual se desenvolveria o projeto, que decorreu ao
longo de 8 meses, de Fevereiro a Setembro de 2013.
A new product implementation project was conducted in a private security company, under the new product development model created by Booz, Allen & Hamilton. The model was adapted e applied in a real life context. The goal was to apply a theoretical model and to verify its benefits and limitations in the field, in the context of a company working in the electronic security systems connected to a central alarm monitoring station area. The study was conducted as a project, accompanying the entire process from “Idea Generation” to “Commercialization” of the new product: a new intrusion alarm system and a new sales model. The work was conducted considering the review of significant literature in order to better frame the subject and to develop the conceptual model in which this project was developed. The new product development project was put into effect over a course of 8 months, from February to September 2013.
