| dc.description.abstract | No contexto metropolitano de Lisboa, entre a oscilação da maré cheia e da maré vaza, existe uma periferia com características singulares: os territórios ribeirinhos pós-industriais da margem sul, entre os quais se situa Alburrica (Barreiro). A complexidade deste lugar, que abrange sistemas ecológicos altamente dinâmicos, património industrial em ruína e habitações informais de pescadores, convoca um conjunto de temáticas diversas. Termos como precariedade e convivialidade, limite e transgressão, individual e comum, representam uma hipótese de interpretação deste território - um léxico reflexivo que precede e informa a definição de uma proposta arquitetónica para o território de Alburrica. O carácter intersticial, contingente e instável deste lugar espelha o lado-reverso da globalização, bem como a velocidade de transformações que ocorrem no ambiente urbano contemporâneo a nível político, social, económico, financeiro, ambiental, e consequentemente, espacial. Pela sua condição periférica e frequentemente invisível, Alburrica mobiliza um campo de possibilidades quanto ao reforço do conhecimento pré-existente, ao debate sobre a prática arquitetónica e à criação de renovados sentidos, espaços de existência e habitabilidades. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | In Lisbon Metropolitan context, between the oscillations of high tide and low tide, there is a periphery with unique characteristics: the post-industrial riverside territories of the south bank, among which, Alburrica (Barreiro) is located. The complexity of this place, which encompasses highly dynamic ecological systems, ruins of industrial heritage and informal fishermen’s dwellings, conjures up a diverse set of themes. Terms such as precariousness and conviviality, limit and transgression, individual and common, represents an interpretative hypothesis of this territory - a reflexive lexicon that precedes and informs the definition of an architectural proposal for the territory of Alburrica. The interstitial, contingent and unstable characteristics of this place mirror the reverse side of globalization, as well as the speed of transformations that occur in the contemporary urban environment at the political, social, economic, financial, environmental and, consequently, spatial levels. Due to its peripheral and often invisible condition, Alburrica mobilizes a field of possibilities regarding the reinforcement of pre-existing knowledge, the debate on architectural practice and the creation of renewed significance, spaces of existence and habitabilities. | pt_PT |
