This Internship Report will focus on the Sporting Clube de Portugal sub-14 B squad during the 2017/2018 season, the planning of the season, the teaching / learning process and the team management in the context of the competition in which we were inserted, giving a thorough description and analysis of what was done to continue the long term sports development of the players that were part of this group. An area of Innovation and Research is included, where an experimental scientific research project was undertaken, trying to explore appropriate training methods to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of non-dominant foot use within the context of Football. The results of this investigation showed that the training made led to a significant reduction in functional asymmetries between the lower limbs of the players involved. This seems to confirm that, in line with other investigations carried out in this area, the laterality characteristics of the individual can be attenuated by providing systematic task stimuli to the non-dominant limb. In the area of Community Relations, we prepared a presentation for the first year’s students of the Master’s of Sports Training within our Faculty, called Sporting’s Day, with the purpose of showing the club's Academy organization and way of work, its goals, philosophy and operational strategies, as well as the daily activities of the coaches and intern coaches who work there. This event has the added importance of introducing Academia Sporting to potential candidates for a season internship at the club within the specific area of their Master’s specialization. The document also reviews the literature currently available on themes regarding youth sports, using it to justify and guide the approach of a professional working in this field, as well as showing the need to adapt it according to the environment presented.
