O uso da Abordagem Comunicativa e das tĂ©cnicas de Peer Correction para desenvolver a competĂȘncia oral em sala de aula corresponde a um relatĂłrio de prĂĄtica supervisionada em Ensino de InglĂȘs (CompetĂȘncia de Produção Oral), realizada no Ăąmbito do Mestrado em Ensino. O projeto didĂĄtico, a que se refere o presente estudo, combinou pesquisa cientĂfica e trabalho de campo na Escola BĂĄsica (EB) de 2.Âș e 3.Âș ciclo JoĂŁo Villaret (Loures), tendo como destinatĂĄria de ensino uma turma de 9.Âș ano de escolaridade com 19 alunos. Alicerçando-se nas teorias de Richards (1983) relacionadas com as abordagens alternativas do ensino das lĂnguas, a Unidade Curricular, sob o tema Racismo e Discriminação (Racism and Discrimination), foi lecionada num perĂodo de 450 minutos (distribuĂdos por 5 aulas de 90 minutos cada) e debruçou-se particularmente sobre a importĂąncia do uso de tĂ©cnicas da abordagem comunicativa, no desenvolvimento das competĂȘncias orais em sala de aula.
The use of the Communicative Approach and Peer Correction techniques in order to develop oral skills in the classroom corresponds to a supervised practice report in Teaching English (Oral Production Competence) held under a Master Degree in Teaching. The didactic project, referred to this study, combines scientific research and field work at the 2nd and 3rd cycle JoĂŁo VillaretÂŽs Basic School (Loures), on a 9th grade group with 19 students. Grounding itself in Richards theories (1983) related to the alternative approaches of language teaching, the unit under the Racism and Discrimination topic was taught in a 450-minute period (spread over 5 classes of 90 minutes each) and leaned particularly on the importance of using techniques of the Communicative Approach in the development of oral skills in the classroom.
