Fenómenos de ciclicidade nas dinâmicas de crescimento do leasing e do factoring

Os profissionais do sector do negócio do leasing e do factoring defendem que há um GAP temporal entre a dinâmica de evolução da economia e as dinâmicas de evolução do leasing e do factoring. Em que a relação entre a dinâmica da economia e a dinâmica do negócio do leasing é de pró-ciclidade e a relação entre a dinâmica da economia e a dinâmica do factoring é de contra-ciclo. Desta forma, o presente estudo tem como objectivo perceber em que medida o comportamento da economia e as suas alterações se relacionam ou interferem no comportamento do negócio do leasing e do factoring. Para responder a este objectivo a análise foi realizada com recurso a variáveis, que melhor caracterizam a economia, o leasing e o factoring, com uma base temporal de 1982 a 2009. Para testar empiricamente as hipóteses em investigação, e tendo em consideração a complexidade do fenómeno em questão, recorreu-se à análise estatística-econométrica. Os resultados obtidos mostram que existe pró-ciclicidade na dinâmica da economia e do negócio do leasing, no entanto quanto ao negócio do factoring os resultados não foram os esperados, ou seja, não se verificou fenómeno de contra-ciclo.
Experts in leasing and factoring business claim that there is a temporal GAP in between the economy evolution's dynamics and factoring and leasing evolution's dynamics. Considering this, the relationship between economy's dynamics and leasing business is pro-cyclical, while the relationship between economy's dynamics and factoring business is counter-cyclical. This study's aim is understanding to which extent the economy's behavior and its changes are connected or interfere with leasing and factoring business' behavior. In order to achieve this goal, the analysis has been made considering a set of time variables, which describe the economy in the best way, with a time series from 1982 to 2009. A statistic-econometric analysis has been used in order to test the given hypothesis empirically, considering the complexity of the issue. The results obtained from this analysis show that between economy dynamics and leasing business a pro-cyclical relationship does exist. Concerning the factoring business, no counter-cyclical relationship evidence has been found.
