Este relatório descreve as atividades desenvolvidas durante o estágio curricular no Arquivo Central da Comarca de Lisboa Norte, no âmbito do Mestrado em Ciências da Documentação e Informação da Universidade de Lisboa. A intervenção centrou-se no tratamento arquivístico de documentação do extinto Tribunal Judicial da Comarca de Alenquer, com datas compreendidas entre 1639 e 1970. Foram descritos 1.285 processos, com base em normas internacionais de descrição e ferramentas operacionais da Direção-Geral da Administração da Justiça (DGAJ). A experiência contribuiu para o desenvolvimento de competências em descrição arquivística, paleografia, conservação preventiva e análise documental, permitindo a valorização técnica e patrimonial da documentação judicial.
This report provides an in-depth analysis of the internship carried out at the Central Archive of the Judicial District of Lisbon North, within the framework of the Master’s Degree in Documentation and Information Sciences at the University of Lisbon. The intervention focused on a collection of records produced by the now-defunct Judicial Court of Alenquer, spanning from 1639 to 1922. Through the technical description of 1,285 judicial files, performed in accordance with international archival standards and operational tools made available by the Direção-Geral da Administração da Justiça (DGAJ), the project contributed to the preservation, valorization, and accessibility of this significant juridical and documentary heritage.
