This dissertation intends to consider the aesthetic comprehension of landscape and its specific dual nature - tangible and intangible, visible and invisible, material and formal, appraising the possibility of a pure formal appreciation as a means to apprehend all the relevant environmental contents appropriately, and simultaneously upon cancelling of all traces of materiality linked to the vital fruition, on the aesthetic contemplation of the inhabited landscape
