This paper aims to consider about the relevance of the audiovisual technology appropriation by brazilian indigenous people within the collective Video nas Aldeias, as a way to make stronger the memory of the traditional people, as well as give visibility to the indigenous movement. The art installation “Brasil dos índios: um arquivo aberto”, part of the 32th Bienal of São Paulo assumes a shape that strengthens and reaffirms the native protagonism, as well as takes a position against the exotization of the indigenous picture inside the society of the spectacle
