Introdução
Foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o papel da música na promoção da saúde em idade pediátrica.
Objectivos
- Sistematizar o papel da Música na promoção da saúde em idade pediátrica nomeadamente o impacto da sua aplicação.
- Perceber as bases anatomo-fisiológicas inerentes à escuta ou prática ativa de um instrumento e possíveis repercurssões daí decorrentes.
- Discutir as principais aplicações clínicas da música, no âmbito de um desenvolvimento integrado, em idade pediátrica.
- Reflectir acerca do papel da música na prevenção e como terapia complementar em idade pediátrica.
Metodologia
Foram utilizadas as bases de dados PUBMED e Google Académico com as seguintes palavras-chaves: “música”, “pediatria”, “cérebro”, “musicoterapia”, “neuroplasticidade”, “cognição”, “emoção”, “prevenção”, tendo sido incluídos 82 artigos em inglês, 4 em português, 1 em espanhol e 1 em alemão, entre 1981 e 2016 e 9 capítulos de livros de 1835 a 2016.
Resultados
Há evidência que a música, ao ativar áreas cerebrais e induzir transformações em vários sistemas, tem efeitos benéficos em diversas patologias, nomeadamente na PEDL, PEA, Epilepsia, ADHD e Perturbações Afectivas, contribuindo ainda de forma positiva para um desenvolvimento integral.
Conclusões
A implementação da música revela-se como uma ferramenta complementar efectiva na promoção de saúde em idade pediátrica.
Introduction Under a medical perspective, a review was made about the the role of music in promotion health promotion in pediatric population. Objectives - To systemize the role of music in promoting health in the pediatric age, and most notably the impact of its application. - To understand the anatomic and physiologic foundations that are inherent in listening to music or playing an instrument, and the possible repercussions from that. - To discuss the main clinical applications of music in the area of integrated development in the child age. - To reflect about the role of music in prevention and complementary therapy in the cild age. Methods Research was conducted with the help of the databases PUBMED and Google Academic, using keywords such as: “music”, “pediatrics”, “brain”, “music therapy”, “neuroplasticity”, “cognition”, “emotion”, “prevention”. This thesis is based on 82 articles in English, 4 in Portuguese, 1 in Spanish and 1 in German, which were published between 1981 and 2016, as well as 9 chapters in monographs from 1835 to 2016. Results There is evidence that music, in activating brain areas and initiating transformations in various systems, has positive effects in various pathologies, namely in Specific language impairment, Autism spectrum disorders, Epilepsy, ADHD and Affective disorders, contributing also positively to an integrated development. Conclusions The implementation of music reveals itself as a complementing tool which is effective in the promotion of health at child age.
