Abstract(s)
We reflect upon our audiovisual approach to material imagination from a thematic, conceptual and instrumental standpoint: we demarcate and present our topic in the way it was developed by Gaston Bachelard in his studies about imagination; we follow José Gil’s theory of the naked-image in order to set a conceptual basis for the nature of the artistic (plastic) image; we expound Gilles Deleuze’s idea of an image-affection so we may develop our investigation on the actual field of the audiovisuals. With this mind-set, we then analyse our practical work through the exploration of questions such as the relations between words and images, the expressiveness of the audiovisuals and the means which may enable it: framing, zooming, super-positioning and suggesting through sound
