Este documento procura fazer uma reflexão crítica sobre a relação que o Homem, as cidades e as suas pequenas fixações têm com o Rio e com o Mar. Esta reflexão resulta no desenvolvimento de uma visão utópica e crítica que procure uma identificação e recuperação do carácter e da memória da relação entre a Água e o Homem, permitindo que possa ser aberto o debate sobre as intervenções nas cidades do futuro.
A Margem Sul, fortemente ligada a Lisboa, apresenta-se como um território diversificado no contexto do Rio Tejo, também ele muito heterogéneo.
Após a leitura e caracterização deste território, o lugar escolhido para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho, deste sonho, é onde o Rio encontra o Mar, na Cova do Vapor que, a par da sua indissociável ligação à Torre/Farol do Bugio, serve de mote para a re-imaginação da barra do Tejo.
Esta reflexão pretende compreender a capacidade que uma intervenção, que parte de uma abordagem que combina memória e utopia, tem para a revitalização da identidade de uma comunidade e alterar as dinâmicas de um vasto território.
Uma coisa simples pode ser retirada desta reflexão, o ontem não pode ser apagado, o hoje vive-se e o amanhã sonha-se.
This document seeks to make a critical reflection about the relationship that Mankind, its cities and its small fixations have with both the River and the Sea. This reflection results on the development of an utopian and critical visions that searches to identify and recuperate that character and memory of the relationship between Water and Mankind, allowing the debate about the interventions in cities of the future to be opened. Margem Sul, deeply connected to Lisbon, presents itself as a diversed territory at the also heterogeneous context of the River Tagus. After an analysis and characterization of this territory, the place chosen to develop this work, this dream, is where the River meets the Sea, in Cova do Vapor that, alongside it’s inseparable connection with the Tower/Lighthouse of Bugio, serves as motto to re-imagine Tagus’ Bar. This reflection intends to comprehend the capability that an intervection, that begins with a combined approach between memory and utopia, has to revitalize the identity of a community and change the dynamics of a vast territory. A simple thing might be taken from this reflection, yesterday cannot be erased, today is to be lived and we dream for the future.
