A questão da coabitação, nos termos em que se coloca hoje em dia, deve ser abordada sob o ponto de vista da sua história bem como das alterações sociais, ambientais e económicas que, somadas, sugerem uma revisão das tipologias da habitação tradicional. Neste trabalho conjugam-se função e forma do habitar coletivo para argumentar que uma comunidade de coabitação em Lisboa só será possível se a esta perspetiva se juntarem as ideias preconizadas pelo Regionalismo Crítico.
The question of ‘cohousing’, as it is understood nowadays, must be seen through its history as well as through the social, economic and environmental changes that, combined, suggest a revision of the traditional housing typologies. In this paper, function and form of collective living unite to argue that a cohousing community in Lisbon can only be sustained if to this socio-historical perspective we add the ideas proposed by Critical Regionalism.
