Num ambiente competitivo e em rápida evolução é essencial que as
empresas adoptem uma estratégia adequada, de forma a garantirem não só a
sua subsistência nos sectores onde operam como a necessária criação de
riqueza.
Esta investigação teve como objectivo verificar o eventual impacto que a
adopção de uma das estratégias genéricas de Michael E. Porter, pode ter na
performance financeira das empresas do sector de Fabricação de Equipamento
não Doméstico para Refrigeração e Ventilação em Portugal.
Foram enviados às empresas que constituem a amostra 32
questionários que posteriormente foram conduzidos por entrevista telefónica.
Destas 32 empresas, Apenas em 16 foi possível reunir as condições suficientes
e necessárias para observação. A informação recolhida permitiu enquadrar as
estratégias das empresas dentro das estratégias genéricas de Michael Porter e
obter informação para o cálculo dos indicadores financeiros seleccionados.
Os resultados obtidos através da amostra não permitiram concluir que
para diferentes Estratégias Genéricas de Michael E. Porter devemos esperar
diferentes performances financeiras.
In a competitive and fast growing environment, it is essential for companies to choose an appropriate strategy in order to guarantee not only their survival in the sectors where they operate, as well as the necessary wealth creation. The aim of this investigation was to verify the eventual impact, of the adoption of a competitive generic strategy of Michael. E. Porter in the financial performance of the companies for non Domestic Cooling Equipments Production Sector in Portugal. They were sent 32 enquiries iater followed by a telephone interview. From these 32 companies only in 16, it was possible to gather the sufficient and necessary conditions to the study. The collected data allowed to set the strategies of the companies according to Michael E. Porter competitive generic strategies and to obtain information for the calculation of the selected financial indicators. The results achieved with this sample did not allow any conclusion on the subject: for different competitive generic strategies of Michael E. Porter, different financial performances must be expected.
