Economic globalization in pair with the development of the information and communication society has, in the last decades, contributed to the emergence of new realities in the working context. The demand for more skilled workers for a labor market increasingly dependent on innovation and research (Guimarães, 2011), the creation/change of jobs or the replacement of workers (Cardim, 1990), are some examples. These new realities lead to new needs, both for workers and for businesses (Canário, 2008; Cardim, 2008), which can be addressed in some cases through continuous training. In this way, either training centers or private companies undertake the realization of a Diagnosis of Training Needs to ensure the best response to the public they target. The present work gives to the internship undertaken for the Master degree of Education Sciences in Adult Education field of specialization. The internship was developed in a vocational training centre of participatory management - Citeforma - and consisted in the elaboration of a Diagnosis of Training Needs, whose purpose aimed to find guidelines to support the Citeforma training plan for the biennium 2015-2016. For this diagnosis the adopted methodology favoured a quantitative approach, by the application of a questionnaire to former trainees of the Centre and members of SITESE, from which resulted the core of the information that was processed. The data collected were subjected to an S.P.S.S. analysis. The frequencies were calculated in order to realize the statistical significance of each observed indicator and chi-square tests, the qualitative variables (selection) in order to verify the existence of an association. We also resorted to bibliographical sources, job advertisements and interviews with companies with whom the Citeforma has relationships, all data collected was subjected to a content analysis. The diagnosis of training needs was carried out by a five-member team, led by the person in charge of the Training Department of the Centre between September of 2014 and May of 2015.
