| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo tem como principal objectivo completar o conhecimento referente a Martim de Figueiredo, autor do Commentum Plinii (1529), obra relevante do humanismo português, mas a respeito da qual os estudos especializados não são extensos, encontrando-se as referências a esta obra, na maioria dos casos, dispersas em vários estudos de variada abrangência. O presente trabalho divide-se em duas partes: uma primeira parte dedicada à biografia do humanista, uma segunda dedicada à contextualização da Naturalis Historia nos estudos universitários em Itália e em Portugal, e à difusão do Commentum Plinii dentro e fora da Península Ibérica. Em ambos os aspectos, o presente trabalho contribui com novidades relativas à bibliografia específica: por um lado, apresenta novos documentos relativos à biografia do humanista. Por outro lado, apresenta exemplares actualmente conservados e ausentes nos catálogos de referência e nos estudos específicos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The intention of this study is to contribute to the investigation about Martim de Figueiredo, the author of the Commentum Plinii (1529). This is an important work of Portuguese humanism and existing studies about the subject are not extensive. However, we can find references to this work amongst various studies of different lengths. This study is divided into two parts: one dedicated to a brief biography of the humanist, a second dedicated the Naturalis Historia contextualized into the academic studies in Italy and Portugal, and the transmission of the Commentum Plinii in and out of the Iberian Peninsula. The present work contributes, in both aspects, with new data concerning the specific bibliography: on the one hand, it presents new documents related to the humanist biography and on the other, it presents new copies currently preserved and missing from the specific catalogues and studies. | pt_PT |
