This report, carried out within the curricular unit Initiation to Professional Practice III (IPP III), a 2nd year unit of the Master in Geography Teaching, presents the results of the supervised teaching practice, which took place at the Bobadela Basic School of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles (EBI of Bobadela), where a didactic sequence was implemented in an 8th grade class. “Economic Activities” were the theme of the Geography lessons taught. The main sub-themes addressed were: “Economic activities: resources, production processes and sustainability” and “Sector I (Primary)”. Other concepts were also explored from the sub-themes: “Sector II (Secondary)” and “Sector III (Tertiary)”. It should be noted that, because Citizenship is integrated in the Geography discipline (in the 8th grade the discipline is named “Geography and Citizenship”), it was present throughout the lessons, and were explored themes recommended by the National Citizenship Education Strategy (ENEC), namely, Human Rights and Sustainable Development. Within the scope of the selected theme, it was intended to understand the ways of extraction, transformation and sale of products, on a local and global scale, and to raise awareness among students about alternatives, that respect people and the environment. The teaching and learning strategies were diversified and allowed the development of several skills, including some foreseen in the Student´s Profile by the end of Compulsory Schooling. The construction of knowledge, done by the students themselves, through constant interaction, encouraged communication and interpersonal skills. Through the proposed worksheets, language and reading skills were developed. The fieldwork stimulated research and personal development and autonomy, providing the realization of a work that, in addition to the development of language skills, awakened the aesthetic and artistic sensibility of the students.
