Abstract(s)
A simulação computacional de sistemas, ou apenas simulação, consiste na utilização de certas técnicas matemáticas, empregadas em computadores, as quais permitem imitar o funcionamento de praticamente qualquer tipo de operação ou processo do mundo real, ou seja, trata-se do estudo do comportamento de sistemas reais por meio do exercício de modelos. Este estudo propõe uma análise acerca da aplicação da simulação computacional como metodologia de ensino-aprendizagem das disciplinas práticas do Curso de Tecnologia em Redes de Computadores do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Ceará (IFCE), assinalando a importância da simulação para a pesquisa em diversas áreas do conhecimento. Com a aplicação da pesquisa, adquiriu-se o embasamento que faltava para afirmar que a simulação computacional pode ser amplamente utilizada como metodologia de ensino aprendizagem e que abre novas possibilidades em face da realidade vivenciada pela grande maioria das instituições de ensino público, marcada pela escassez de recursos e por laboratórios obsoletos ou mal-equipados.
Computer simulation of systems, or just simulation, consists in the use of certain mathematical techniques, employed in computers, which allow the imitation of the operation of virtually any type of operation or process in the real world, that is, the study of real systems‟ behavior through the exercise of models. This study proposes an analysis about the application of computational simulation as a teaching-learning methodology of the practical subjects of the Computer Network Technology Course of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), highlighting the importance of simulation for research in various areas of knowledge. With the application of the research, it was acquired the basis that was missing to say that computer simulation can be widely used as a teaching-learning methodology and opens new possibilities in face of the reality experienced by the vast majority of institutions public education, marked by scarcity of resources and obsolete or ill-equipped laboratories.
