Este relatório retrata a concretização do processo estágio no decorrer de uma época desportiva, integrando a equipa técnica do escalão de Iniciados B (sub-14), incorporado no Departamento de Análise e Observação (DAO), num clube de elite que é referência internacional na formação de futebolistas. Enquanto clube que tem como objetivo formar jogadores para o mais elevado nível competitivo, capazes de virem a integrar a equipa principal, o processo de formação a longo prazo engloba diversas áreas de intervenção, nomeadamente a vertente da observação e análise de jogo, atuando de forma progressiva e ajustada ao enquadramento do escalão e facultando aos jovens futebolistas os meios para melhorarem o seu conhecimento e preparação para o jogo. Foi realizado um estudo acerca do perfil dos futebolistas jovens das equipas B, participantes na Segunda Liga Portuguesa, tendo por base o Efeito da Idade Relativa. Na amostra de 770 jogadores verificou-se a predominância significativa de jogadores nascidos no 1º Trimestre (37%), mas não se comprovou haver uma relação estatisticamente significativa entre o trimestre de nascimento e a aptidão para transitarem para a Primeira Liga. Em média, cada jogador que transitou das equipas secundárias para a Primeira Liga, completou 31,91 jogos na Segunda Liga. O evento “Webinar Análise e Observação no Futebol” proporcionou à comunidade académica e futebolística um momento rico de partilha de conhecimento, contando com a participação de três profissionais da área que, de forma aberta, deram a conhecer um pouco do seu “know-how”, culminando num conjunto de reflexões relevantes, tendo a sessão ocorrido de forma remota por força das circunstâncias.
This report portrays the completion of the internship process over the course of a sporting season, integrating the U-14 technical team, as well as incorporated into the Analysis and Observation Department (DAO), in an elite club that is an international reference in the development of footballers. As a club that aims to train players for the highest competitive level, capable of becoming part of the first team, the long-term training process encompasses several areas of intervention, namely the field of game observation and analysis, acting progressively and adjusted to the framework of the level and providing young footballers with the means to improve their knowledge and preparation for the game. A study was conducted on the profile of young footballers from B teams (reserve teams), participating in the Portuguese Second League, based on the Relative Age Effect. In the sample of 770 players, there was a significant predominance of players born in the 1st Quarter (37%), but there was no statistically significant relationship between the quarter of birth and the ability to transition to the Portuguese First League. On average, each player who moved from the secondary teams to the First League completed 31.91 games in the Second League. The event "Webinar Analysis and Observation in Football" provided the academic and football community with a rich moment of knowledge sharing, with the participation of three professionals who, in an open manner, made known a little of their know-how, culminating in a set of relevant reflections, with the session taking place remotely due to circumstances.
