O presente estudo pretendeu analisar os índices de auto-eficácia evidenciados pelos
professores, o nível de satisfação profissional experienciado pelos docentes e a associação
entre os dois construtos psicológicos indicados, sentido de auto-eficácia e satisfação
profissional. O estudo contou com a participação de 114 professores que responderam online
aos instrumentos utilizados. Os resultados tendem a evidenciar que os professores inquiridos
relevam índices elevados de auto-eficácia, ainda que a sua percepção pessoal de eficácia se
revele distinta em diferentes domínios da actividade docente. Em sentido oposto, concluiu-se
que os professores evidenciam baixos níveis de satisfação profissional, sendo os valores
registados indicativos de um forte sentimento de descontentamento profissional. Foram ainda
encontradas correlações positivas e significativas entre o sentido de auto-eficácia e a satisfação
profissional dos professores.
This study attempt to analyze teachers‟ self-efficacy beliefs, considering distinctly the different action domains that constitutes teachers activities; teachers‟ level of job satisfaction, as well as the factors responsible for the sense of satisfaction/dissatisfaction promoted by their jobs; the association between the two psychological constructs: sense of self-efficacy and job satisfaction. The study included 114 teachers that responded to two online questionnaires. The results showed that teachers exhibit high levels of self-efficacy, although their personal perception of efficacy reveals differences in the distinguished domains. In the opposite direction, results evidence that teachers tend to feel dissatisfied and discourage with teaching as a profession. It was also found positive and strong correlation between teacher self-efficacy and job satisfaction.
