This article presents the results of re¬search, of the type action research conducted during outreach activities promoted by academic students and professors of the Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil. The actions developed in the first grades of local public schools have provided, in addition to discussing the exercise of citizenship, to work the contents of art and african-brazilian culture
