Resumo(s)
A problemática dos vazios urbanos e dos conjuntos industriais devolutos na capital portuguesa -
decorrentes do processo de desindustrialização -, configuram territórios expetantes, alvo de potenciais
operações de transformação.
Um olhar atento sobre Alcântara lança o mote da aproximação do rio com a cidade, pela
incorporação de lugares de água na vivência do espaço público.
Neste âmbito, a habitação surge como resposta vital à demanda de espaços residenciais adequados
ao habitar contemporâneo, enquanto função primordial e estruturadora da cidade.
Paralelamente, a proposta de um equipamento de cariz cultural e educativo é confinado ao lote
adjacente da Fábrica SOL – hoje, abandonada – enquanto programa capaz de revitalizar a vivência do
espaço, e até, do próprio bairro.
Por fim, a relação entre as temáticas abordadas no projeto - a questão do habitar, a possibilidade
de contacto com a água em contexto citadino, e a da reabilitação industrial - materializam a hipótese de
trabalho apresentada.
ABSTRACT: to the process of deindustrialization -, configurate expiering territories as targets of potential transformations. Overlooking Alcântara’s territory arises the motto of approaching the river back to the city, by incorporating places with the presence of water in the experience of its public spaces. In this context, housing emerges as a vital response to the demand for adequate residential spaces for the contemporary way of living, as it is seen as the primordial and structuring function of the city. On the other hand, the proposal of a cultural and education equipment is confined to the adjacent plot of SOL Factory - which is, today, abandoned - as a program capable of revitalizing the livelihood of its spaces and even of the neighbourhood itself. To conclude, the relationship between the themes addressed in the project - the living function, the possibility of contact with water within the city’s context, and that of industrial rehabilitation - materialize the hypothesis presented.
