As portas da fachada do Nascimento do Templo da Sagrada Família em Barcelona : um diálogo permanente

Abstract

This is a dialogue with the Doors of the Facade of the Nativity from the Temple of the Sacred Family in Barcelona. It seeks to unveil the history of these doors, their past. So as to be able to unravel this past, this dialogue takes us to the origin of the work, tries to understand what a Christian temple is; what the Temple of the Sacred Family in Barcelona is, who the architecture of the Temple of the Sacred family, Antoni Gaudí, was; and who the sculptor of the doors, Etsuro Stooo, is. We become aware that this temple is very symbolic, and, for that reason, we deepen the possibilities of the symbol, it’s value and significance. With the past in our hands, we face the present, the Doors of the Facade of Nativity integrated in the Temple. We acquire possible connections and meanings for the elements that compose them and compare them to other parts of the Temple. We talk about nativity, theme which defines the doors, and about the act of being reborn, of returning to childhood. At last, we remake the path, the technical experiences carried out, and the steps given until the birth of the doors as they are now
