Resumo:	Background: Malnutrition is a modifiable risk factor for several diseases among elderly. To develop appropriate nutrition policies to decrease malnutrition, up-to-date information on the dimension of the problem is warranted. Objective: To estimate the prevalence of malnutrition among Portuguese elderly (65+ years old) resident in nursing homes.
