Efeito da gestão de residuos de abate nas características do solo e no crescimento de uma plantação de Eucalyptus globulus em talhadia

Abstract

Soil characteristics and tree growth as affected by slash management were assessed after the first clearcutting of a Eucalyptus globulus coppice plantation. The field trial was installed in March 1993, after the clearcutting of trees at the end of the first rotation. Treatments were removal (R), incorporation into the soil (I) and maintenance on the soil surface (S) of slash and forest floor litter layer; in the latter a variant of consisting in separation between wood and non-woody residues was also considered.
