Resumo: In this study, we analyze the use of ChatGPT in activities that take place in the academic community. This research investigates how this Chabot has been used by university students in Portugal and Brazil, and what impact this tool has had on their university libraries. The instrument used was a survey of students from different universities. The objectives of this survey were to obtain: data on the perception of the use of ChatGPT, its usefulness in fulfilling academic tasks, and how it affects the frequency or use of university libraries.
