Abstract: This chapter examines Portugal’s journey in fostering gender-sensitive cities and territories, and spotlighting progress and obstacles from the last two decades. It aims to call for comprehensive strategies that acknowledge gender dynamics and foster cities where women and other discriminated groups feel safe, empowered, and fully recognized and integrated.
