Resumo(s)
This research has its starting point in Brazil’s political reality, in which discrepancies between the voters' aims and the legislative process carried out by elected deputies are evident, and it results in the proposal Bom Partido, a Voting Advice Application (VAA) for supporting voter's party choice in an electoral context. This application is a contribution so that the voter can get an answer to the question: Which party best corresponds to my political position? Using Communication Design resources and methodologies, and assuming the similarity of usability with relationship applications, it is configured as an interactive questionnaire to which the reader responds and which results in a political match. That is, at the end of the process, the voter gets a classification of the parties according to their own political stance. As an alternative to similar VAAs used in other political and electoral contexts, the Bom Partido app is structured in a retrospective logic. That is, the questions posed to the Brazilian voter address legislative proposals already voted on in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies and not ideas, intentions or proposals exposed in manifestos or electoral programs of the parties. In this way, this application allows to obtain political match results with a high degree of credibility and reliability and, in particular, highlights the ideological inconsistency of many Brazilian parties. In parallel, Bom Partido is also a contribution to the study and development of VAAs because it uses a reproducible construction formula applicable to different electoral contexts in which there is prior information about the parties or candidates that stand for election. Finally, associated with the reproducibility factor of the project, Bom Partido seeks to inspire other civic agents, especially communication designers, to replicate the formula developed for their own political realities.
