dados EBSCO (APA PsycArticles, PsycInfo, MEDLINE, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences
diferenças no VPI consoante a metodologia utilizada.
Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) appear to have a positive inflated perception relatively to their abilities – Positive Illusory Bias (PIB). However, little is known about this bias in adolescent samples with ADHD. The point of this systematic review is to examine the presence and how this bias manifests in adolescents with ADHD, considering the factors that can influence its manifestation. The studies that were included were provided by the following databases: EBSCO (APA PsycArticles, PsycInfo, MEDLINE, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection), Web of Science and SCOPUS, and were published until march 20, 2021 (N=13). The risk of bias was assessed by the Joanna Briggs Institute criteria. The results were grouped into a table according to the studies main characteristics and the factors that may influence the PIB manifestation. The main results indicate differences in PIB according to the method used in its assessment. The comorbidities (internalizing and externalizing) influence and the level of competence appear to partially explain some of the PIB variance. Future investigation directions and clinical implications are discussed.
