Abstract(s)
O presente estudo teve como foco central, avaliar a adaptabilidade de carreira em
estudantes que pretendem ingressar no ensino superior pelo concurso especial maiores de
23 anos. Pormenorizadamente, o enquadramento teórico aborda os conceitos de trabalho
e carreira, enquanto que a exploração do estudo empírico foi desenvolvida tendo por base
64 candidatos que pretendem ingressar nos cursos de Direito e Psicologia da Universidade
de Lisboa, com idades compreendidas entre os 24 e 63 anos. Na análise de dados, utilizouse o instrumento CAAS Portugal Form 2.0, uma versão portuguesa do Career AdaptAbilities Inventory Internacional Form 2.0, esta versão inclui 4 grandes dimensões de
adaptabilidade, nomeadamente: preocupação, controlo, curiosidade e confiança, que são
recursos psicossociais na realização da gestão de transições, tarefas e traumas no trabalho
(Savickas, Porfeli, 2012).
De um modo geral, os resultados do presente estudo demonstram que todos os
candidatos apresentam altos níveis de adaptabilidade em todos os itens do questionário
CAAS Portugal Form 2.0, sendo que as dimensões de controlo e confiança obtêm os
níveis mais elevados de adaptabilidade. Especificamente, na análise de inter-relação de
dimensões, as dimensões de preocupação e a confiança apresentam os valores mais
intensos entre as quatro dimensões. Na análise da adaptabilidade por curso, não se
verificam diferenças significavas ao nível de p<0,05 entre cursos, no entanto, os
candidatos de direito estão melhor adaptados do que os candidatos de psicologia, tanto
nas quatro dimensões da adaptabilidade como na adaptabilidade global, destacando-se a
dimensão de confiança, que a um nível de significância de p>0.10 revela os níveis mais
elevados de adaptabilidade em candidatos de direito. Na análise da adaptabilidade por
situação face ao emprego, também não se verificam diferenças significativas ao nível de
p>0,05, porém, os candidatos empregados obtêm níveis mais altos de adaptabilidade em
todas as dimensões, com destaque para a adaptabilidade global que a um nível de
significância de p>0.10 revela níveis mais elevados de adaptabilidade em candidatos
empregados. Na análise da adaptabilidade por experiência profissional evidenciam-se
diferenças significativas ao nível de p>0.05, os candidatos com mais experiência
demostram maior adaptabilidade do que os menos experientes em todas as dimensões e
na adaptabilidade global.
The present study focused on evaluating the career adaptability in students who intend to enter higher education through the special concourse over the age of 23 years old. In detail, the theoretical framework addresses the concepts of work and career while the exploration of empirical study, was developed based on 64 candidates who intend to enter the Law and Psychology courses at the University of Lisbon aged between 24 and 63 years. In data analysis, using the CAAS Portugal Form 2.0 instrument, a portuguese version of the Career Adapt-Abilities Inventory International Form 2.0, this version includes 4 major dimensions of adaptability, namely: concern, control, curiosity and trust, which are psychosocial resources in management of transitions, tasks and traumas at work (Savickas, Porfeli 2012).
