A mente intersubjetiva na era da tecnologia: de Heidegger a Arendt

Abstract

Este estudo surgiu da intuição de que o trabalho filosófico de Martin Heidegger e de Hannah Arendt deve ser lido de forma correlativa. Ler Arendt à luz de Heidegger permite-nos evidenciar as significativas contribuições da autora para a área da filosofia da mente e da filosofia da ciência que, não raro, tendem a ser obscurecidas. Por outro lado, ler Heidegger contra Arendt possibilita-nos retematizar o problema da intersubjetividade no cerne do comportamento teórico dos Homens, ao mesmo tempo que concretiza a totalidade das implicações que se seguem de uma noção da mente – como o próprio Heidegger a define -- sempre já inserida num mundo e num contexto que transcende o foro da estrita subjetividade. Reconhecer a natureza intersubjetiva da mente, bem como dos seus diferentes modos de operar, resulta em consequências várias de dimensão teórica e prática. Esta dissertação procura desenvolver uma crítica do sujeito no centro da epistemologia e da própria investigação científica. Pretende-se essencialmente abrir novas linhas de debate sobre o problema do progresso e o papel da ciência nas sociedades contemporâneas, onde a relação entre ciência e tecnologia se tornou indissolúvel.

This study resulted from the insight that the philosophical work of Martin Heidegger and Hannah Arendt should be read in a correlative way. Reading Arendt against Heidegger helps us to unravel her significant contributions to the philosophy of mind and to the philosophy of science, which tend to be ignored. On the other hand, reading Heidegger against Arendt allows us to rethematize the problem of intersubjectivity on our theoretical behavior, while materializing all the implications that should follow from a concept of mind – as Heidegger put it – already-in-the-world, in a context that transcends the forum of strict subjectivity. Recognizing the intersubjective nature of mind, and of all its different modes of operating, results in several notable theoretical and practical consequences. This dissertation seeks to develop a systematic critique of the subject at the center of epistemology and scientific research. It is essentially intended to open up new lines of debate on the problem of progress and the role of science in contemporary societies, where the relationship between science and technology has become indissoluble.
